Course in text mining and topic analysis – 16-17 June, AGROVET Campus
A course in text mining and topic analysis, reserved for 50 young people (under 35), is scheduled on 16th June from 2 to 6 pm and on 17th June from 9 am to 1 pm, at the AGROVET Campus.
In this course, you will learn how to apply advanced techniques in text mining and topic analysis to scientific research. Text mining is the process of extracting useful information from large volumes of unstructured text data using statistical and computational methods. Topic analysis is a specific text mining technique that identifies key themes within a collection of documents. These techniques are crucial in scientific research as they help researchers to analyze vast amounts of scientific papers, identify emerging trends, and detect research gaps. By uncovering hidden patterns and structuring unstructured data, these techniques improve scientific findings, simplify research workflows, and reveal trends and insights. Through practical exercises and real-world examples, this course will equip you with the skills needed to transform unstructured data into valuable research insights. Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your research methods and discover new scientific opportunities
Speaker: Dr. Barbara Contiero
She holds a degree in Statistical and Demographic Sciences and works as a Data Processing Technician at the Department of Animal Medicine, Production, and Health at the University of Padova. She collaborates with the Department’s researchers, providing support in various research phases, including experiment planning, development of data collection methods, preparation of datasets for data archiving, integration of information from different databases, selection and application of statistical models for data analysis, and interpretation and visualization of results through graphs, tables, and reports.
